Kálmán joined the movement at the age of fourteen. As an underground activist he obtained Aryan documents and distributed them. He was enlisted in a forced labor unit where he served until the liberation. After the liberation Kálmán was among the first to volunteer for work in the B’riha and helped many people who wanted to make aliya via Western Europe. He made aliya, enlisted in the IDF and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was killed in a car accident.
